Eton School in Mexico City harnesses the feedback and expertise of community stakeholders.

The demands of day-to-day operations plus the discomfort of moving beyond the status quo can make continuous improvement challenging for education leaders. Eton School, an international private school in Mexico City, looked for resources and structures that could embed sustainable practices in the institution’s culture.

During the 2012-13 school year, Eton School joined Cognia’s global network of accredited schools. Eton’s leadership wanted to use the nonprofit’s quality standards to cultivate the school’s international standing and maintain Eton’s high caliber as it grew. The school now attracts students of 43 nationalities and experiences 10% yearly growth. Eton School even earned recognition as a Cognia School of Distinction in 2022 (the only Latin American school to receive the designation that year).

Cognia’s tools and standards provide Eton School with a framework for a common language around quality.”
