  • Receive an overview of the NM-MSSA writing assessment including the function of FAT-P (form, audience, topic, purpose of writing).

  • Explore what constitutes development for each style of writing— narrative, informative/explanatory, or opinion/argument.

  • Practice the use of feedback strategies to help enhance students’ writing.
