Community Impact

At Cognia we know that high quality schools—in addition to strong communities—are the fabric of bright futures. Through our philanthropic partnerships and culture of volunteerism, we work beyond the classroom to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Cognia cares

Embedded into the company’s culture is the phrase: Cognia Cares. It’s our way of showing support for each other and the communities we live in. Cognia sponsors company-wide volunteer efforts like our annual Cognia Walks challenge and other activities that encourage employees to give back to their communities in meaningful ways to support the causes that matter most to them. Our employees’ impact has been far-reaching—from raising money for local cancer research institutes to building media centers in South Africa.

Our partners

Revitalizing communities. Fighting food insecurity. Helping realize potential. The organizations we partner with are aligned with our goals of positively impacting learners where we work and live.

We care about our communities

Young people and their families are the lifeblood of our communities. We have supported them with collective initiatives like the Foster Care Support Foundation and in individual efforts of collecting holiday gifts for families in need, delivering essential needs to the homebound, and preparing meals for those in transitional housing.

We care about ending hunger

At Cognia, we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk—literally. Cognia Walks is a friendly wellness challenge where every step we take benefits food insecure children. Our employees and their families have raised thousands of dollars benefitting No Kid Hungry.

We care about our planet

Cognia’s efficient, carbon-reducing Alpharetta headquarters has earned gold-level LEED certification. Outside of our building walls, employees have demonstrated their commitment to the environment by participating in beach clean-ups, advocating for clean drinking water, and constructing outdoor education classrooms.

We care about our people

Our people are our greatest asset. And, we know a healthy, fulfilling life outside of work contributes to a positive work environment. Our volunteer policy permits employees to contribute up to four hours each week to make an impact in their communities.

A source of great pride and inspiration for me is our people’s steadfast commitment to volunteer service. Together with the support of our philanthropic partners, we will continue to create lasting impact in the communities we serve.”

I’m wholeheartedly appreciative of Cognia’s generous support of Operation Backpack. As a former educator, I have a deep passion for and commitment to advancing opportunities for all students. Thanks to the collective effort of individuals, groups, and partners such as Cognia, we are able to provide essential supplies and tools for learning to children across Houston, Texas, ensuring they start the school year equipped to thrive. I am grateful for Cognia’s mission-driven purpose and this tangible demonstration of its vision and values.”
